Everything that has changed on PLPredictor, newest first. The home page keeps the last 10 days of these — this keeps all of them.
The bell at the top of the page, and your phone if you want it there.
What gets you a notification
• Somebody reacts to one of your predictions 😂
• You win a gameweek - best score in the game that week 🏆
• You come 2nd or 3rd best in the game that week 🥈
• Where you finished a league, at the end of a season
• Somebody new joins a league you run
• You become an Expert, or an Oracle, for one of the clubs you predict
• Your patron badge, if you have donated
On your phone
There's also a nudge on the morning of a deadline if you haven't predicted yet.
Turn it on from your account page. Three switches, not eleven: predict reminders, your results, and your leagues. On iPhone you need PLPredictor on your home screen first, which is what the web app post is about.
Take every match you have predicted, treat your scorelines as the results, and see what table falls out of it. That is /my-table, and it is sat next to the real one so you can see exactly where you were wrong.
Each club is shaded by how close you got and marked with how many places out you had them, and the whole thing is scored out of 100.
Fair warning: nobody predicts enough draws, so predicted tables are stretched at both ends. The average champion in one of these finishes on 107 points, which would beat the real record, and the bottom club on 9, which would be the worst season ever played.
This one was Taylor's idea. Cheers Taylor. If you have got one, the email address at the bottom of this page reaches me.
Your stats page had four boxes and they were all really the same number. It now has seven new sections:
• Scoreline fingerprint - every scoreline you reach for, against how often it actually happens
• Home, draw or away - your split against what those same matches did, and where you sit in the field
• Goals per game - yours against real life
• The joker - hit rate, bonus points won, streaks, and the team you keep trusting with it
• Season trajectory - your rank across the season, over your points a week against the site average
• Personal bests - best gameweek, most exacts in a week, longest streaks and droughts
• By fixture - the matchups you are best and worst at, which is where the derbies show up
Every team on the predict page now carries its last five results under the name. Newest first, biggest first, so a run reads left to right. Hover or long-press a letter for the score, who it was against, and home or away.
Switch it off under SAVE if you would rather not know.
The graph on a profile used to plot this season's rank, which in August is one dot. It now plots the whole career: where that player finished the global league every season they have played, best one in gold, this season hanging off the end until it is settled. Seasons played and best finish are in the tiles beside it.
Say which club you support - you'll be asked after a save - and you are put in that club's league, against everyone else who supports them.
PLPredictor is now a proper web app - not a bookmark pretending to be one. Add it to your home screen (on iPhone: Share → Add to Home Screen; on Android: ⋮ → Install app) and you get your own icon that opens the whole thing full screen - no address bar, no tabs, no browser buttons eating the top and bottom of your predictions.
And the big one: it is how you get notifications on your phone. Installed, PLPredictor can buzz you when someone reacts to a prediction, when you win a gameweek, and on the morning of a deadline if you haven't predicted yet. On iPhone that only works from the home screen icon, so this is the step that turns them on. The notifications post has the full list of what you get told about.
No app store, no download, nothing to update - same login, same leagues, same predictions, just one tap away instead of five.
Every page loads up to 2x faster, and uses even less data.
This one is for the show-offs!
⭐️ New: the Hall of Fame 🏅
Seven seasons of gameweek winners, going back to 2019/20, all on one page - every week of this season as it goes in, plus the all-time board: who has won the most weeks, the highest score anyone has ever posted, and the weeks nobody could split. If you have ever topped a gameweek you are already in it, and the page picks your name out of it. If you haven't, there are 38 chances coming.
⭐️ New: send the receipts 📸
Every week in there has a share button. It opens a page anyone can look at - no account, no login - showing the card that actually won it: the scorelines, which ones came in exactly, and the fixture the joker went on. Hit Share this card and it goes to the group chat as a picture.
Welcome back! Let's not talk about the summer. The fixtures are out though, and there's only one cure for one of those: a fresh season, and a league full of people whose predictions you can laugh at.
Returning players?
Ask your League Admin to hit RENEW LAST SEASON'S on the Leagues page. Everyone from last season rejoins automatically next time they log in, ready to defend the title - or get their revenge.
There's a stack of new stuff for this season too - it's all in the updates below.
Good luck this season - may your jokers land, and may everyone else's 4-0s not.
- Max
When someone in your league gives the bottom club a 4-0 win away from home, you can finally say something about it.
On the results page, tap the + on any rival's scoreline - or just long-press it - and pick one of six reactions. They'll get a red badge on the bell at the top of the page.
Free for everyone, of course.
Open your league, hit Share (or Copy on desktop), and drop the link in the group chat - whoever taps it lands straight in your league, even if they need to sign up first. Your old league code still works too.
League admins can now remove someone from their league.
Logging in sends you back to the page you were actually trying to reach.
